Dead Pool
Jarred Vogt You whip out a couple of swords at your girlfriend's wedding, they will never, ever forget it. -Deadpool in Wolverine Origins.
chapter 4 The self and interaction
A little biography. Dead pool came about when Marvel wanted to mock DC comics character Deathstroke. If you look at both characters they look very similar. Deathstroke’s character I named Slade Wilson. deadpool trailer 2014Deadpool’s name is Wade Wilson. Deadpools character was only a minor character at first. They wanted Deadpool to annoy people because he was arrogant and never stopped talking. Turns out people really liked the character so Marvel gave him a back-story. He was an Army brat that had terminal Cancer and joined the Weapon X program. Wade Wilson was given the regeneration DNA from wolverine and was cured from cancer but was horribly disfigured from the side affects. Hence why he wears a mask. Deadpool the name came from when he was put in a prison type environment and they would kill each other and Wade Wilson had 1000 to 1 odds of dying so he became leader of the “Deadpool”. So he took that name. Deadpool was a skilled assassin and became a mercenary or a gun or sword for hire. What i like about Deadpool is that he is after his own interests. If he has to double cross the hero to have himself on on top he will along with doing the same for bad guys. He is known as the Antihero. Nature Vs. Nuture and Deadpool. I think it could be argued Wade wilson would join the Weapon X program since he himself was a military brat. He did indeed join to try to be saved from his terminal cancer. It was said in a youtube clip about how he was not a poor kid so it is not like he was brought up on rough streets.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-QWXBn-X_8. I imagine Deadpool socializing with prisoners and with other mercenaries as a hired assassin had transformed deadpool into a man after Money which is different then most all super hero's. Deadpool has found out him "self" he is a sword wilding, money loving, arrogant, Skilled killer and he lets everyone know it.
Chapter 6: Deviance. Deadpool is most defiantly a rebel. Rebel: Individuals who reject society's approved goals and means and instead create and work toward their own goals using new means. He is not "normal" by everyday standards. He looks different costume wise and disfigured wise. His job is to kill people. He is defiantly labeled as an outsider even by mutant standards i believe. Most mutants are either good or bad. Deadpool is whoever he wants to be.
Chapter 8:Race and ethnicity as lived experience. As far as i could read about deadpool he was not racist in fact he dated different races of women. He dated a woman from Morocco named Francie. After that turned sour he dated a woman in Japan named Sazae. He even dates a woman prostitute in America. If Deadpool is divers then i don't know what is. This is an example of Miscegenation (pg.228)
Chapter 10 The Macro-Micro link in Sicial institutions: Politics, education, and religion.
I cannot imagine Deadpool caring about anything less Politics, education, and religion. Deadpool for the most part looks after his own self interests. I am sure he has killed many politicians as he is a assassin for hire and people always want politicians dead. I would seriously doubt deadpool is religious since he kills and enjoys doing it and talking as much crap as he can. (As seen in the picture below) _
Chapter 14: Health and illnessDeadpool should be the poster child for health and illness alike. Wade wilson AKA Deadpool had Terminal cancer which is hereditary and was passed down from his mother who died from cancer when he was growing up. As a last ditched effort to live he joined weapon X and was given a healing regeneration gene extracted from the famous Wolverine. Wade Wilson's cancer was gone but down side this left him horrible disfigured. As far as i know Deadpool comics make no reference to him being mentally ill but i think someone who enjoys killing for fun to be a little crazy. Deadpool after receiving the regeneration gene can be torn apart and his body will heal itself. even if his head is cut off.

Chapter 4 - The Self andInteraction
RoleConflict: Experience when we occupy two or more roles with contradictory expectations. (p.117) Deadpool is thoroughly known as the Merc With a Mouth in the Marvel comic books, and is known for his constant breaking of the 4th Wall. For those who don't know what the 4th wall is, its the imaginary wall that is suppose to separate the actors on a stage from the participants in the audience. Appearing throughout a multitude of comic books during his 23 years as an active comic book characters, hist most notable, or reoccurring roles have been with the X-men and Spiderman, even showing up in some spin off series inspired by characters from these different franchises, or having a thick and rich history with characters of the franchise, like Wolverine. Deadpool's main purpose in these other comics, as well as his own, has been that of a comedic role, constantly breaking the 4th wall to interact with the audience(Seeing how he knows he is a comic book character leads to some hilarious situations) or allowing himself to be mutilated in some extremely painful ways just for a laugh, seeing how he is near nigh indestructible thanks to his regeneration powers. Yet even though mostly occupying a comedic role he is often used to approach very dark or troubling issues, ranging from genocide, murder, death and even somethings as small as having a family or how patients are treated in medical or psychiatric facilities. These moments are few in between the comedy that the comic often brings, but often have a habit of making sure the theme or the consequences of the issue are obvious, sometimes being blunt, or letting the reader figure it out on their own. These two different aspects of Deadpool often lead to internal strife as he tries to make a living as not only a mercenary, but a mercenary who more than occasionally has morals that he won't break and a heart that feels for the people around him.. Chapter 6: Deviance Rebels: Individuals who reject society's approved goals and means and instead create and work toward their own (sometimes revolutionary) goals using new means.(p. 157) When it comes to playing by their own rules there is no better example than Deadpool. Cursed with un-death and regeneration powers that rival, maybe even best, Wolverines Wade Wilson a.k.a Deadpool a.k.a The Merc with a Mouth. There's little to nothing that he can't, won't, or doesn't do as long as it makes him happy. Doesn't matter whose side he is with, who is paying him, or what the objective is, if Deadpool thinks it would be worth even the smallest of giggles he'll go above and beyond the call of duty. Chapter 8: Race and Ethnicity as Lived Experience Miscegenation: Romantic, sexual, or marital relationships between people of different races. (P. 228) When someone thinks of marrying outside their race, they keep it simple. When comic books are involved things get complicated enough to where to marry a single person you have to marry half of their family. Well with Deadpool, he took things to an entire new level. Deadpool is in a romantic relationship with Death itself, that's right, Death. An omnipotent being that will claim even Father Time at the end of reality as we know it. You can't get much more outside your race as dating a God, of course, its hard to be in a committed relationship with Death, when you're cursed with un-death. Insert some wacky high jinks and Hollywood has their newest sitcom. Chapter 10: The Macro-Micro Link in Social institutions Democracy: A political system in which all citizens have the right to participate. (P. 282) When it comes to Deadpool, politics, education and religion are all things he scarcely cares about unless in a fit of madness or if he can somehow deliver a joke, but within the fractured mind of Deadpool, lies a thousand different voices all with something interesting to say and every voice has an opinion and every voice is able to cast a vote, to say. Every action Deadpool takes is based off his own madness, and unfortunately all of his madness comes out to vote on election day. Chapter 14: Health and Illness Preventive Medicine: Type of health care that aims to avoid or forestall the onset of disease by taking preventive measures, often including lifestyle changes. (P. 407) Comic to comic, Deadpool faces a growing number of issues and tackles a plethora of underlining ones, but at the surface we see a man who did everything he possibly could to survive the cancer he had by entering the Weapon X program, which infused him with the regenerative abilities of Wolverine, yet at the end of the day it cost him his sanity, but he could argue he is a better position now, or worse. Depends on what he ate for lunch or not. Tackling the surface issue as well, Deadpoool can be the poster child for Preventive Medicine. Defined above, preventive medicine, or preventive healthcare is a major step forward that the populace needs to embrace to help with people facing genetic issues or mental issues, because in real life, we don't get a Deadpool who is just a kick ass comedian with guns, we just get psychopaths with guns that continue to degrade our view of the mentally and physically ill.
